Daryl's eyes were resting on Beth who was sitting beside the campfire with baby Judith in her arms. She looked so fragile, her smile so soft while she hummed an old lullaby. Hard to believe that only some hours ago she had shot two walkers, right into their head, to make sure that they would never come back again to threaten the people she cared for.
Suddenly she looked up; for a moment their eyes met, and she smiled shyly. Daryl felt his hard beating quicker. And he knew he would put his life into her hands without any hesitation.
