He had already acquired a sizeable following of excitedly squealing children, some of them trying to catch up with him, others just cheering or placing bets or having contests for second place involving lots more shoving than necessary. An outraged guard knocked on Corona's mother's door, demanding they keep all their pets under control and that they pay for a somehow ruined apple tree.
"Cheetahs get restless, mom, they've got a lot of energy to burn off."
"Take him to the beach, then, dear. And stop picking up strays!"
