Adam looked up suddenly.  Lucas had been quietly working on the report he was writing.  He had put his headphones on to aid his concentration, wanting to blank out the other sounds around him.  For a while he had been practically immobile, just his fingers moving over the keyboard.  But now Lucas was swaying back and forwards, his head nodding, practically his whole body moving.

Feeling alarmed, Adam caught Malcolm’s attention, and indicated their colleague’s behaviour.  Malcolm was about to stand up, when Lucas, completely oblivious to their concern, began to sing part of the Dies Irae from Verdi’s Requiem.
