Notes: I am going to try and do one or two of these a day to make up for not having been as active in this comm as I meant to. Let's see how that goes.

All she wants is to open the door, to reach out into the daylight and feel the sun on her skin. The warmth of her blankets isn't enough, even the warmth of a human touch doesn't sate her. It's nothing compared to the sun, it's rays casting light on her, reminding her that the world is brighter than she's seen in so long.

She can't even watch it through her window or the crack under the door. That damned door that she wants to open so badly it hurts. But she doesn't have a death wish, so she's left wanting.

Notes: Oh man, I think I'm breaking through a writing block with this! I'm so excited!

Silence makes everything inside feel louder somehow, like the ghosts in his head are amplified and he can't just push them aside or learn to live with them. They force themselves upon him and he starts to choke on them.

These days, it's silence that's his enemy.
