"Wh-where'd you get that?" Lucky asked, pointing at the object in Amelia's hand.

Looking down at the lavender dove curled around the small globe, the singer was silent for a moment before she spoke. "Jark Matter came after me during one of my concerts, I was trying to defend the audience," she said hesitantly. "I..I couldn't let anything happen to them because of me..."

Lucky was about to say something when the sound of footsteps around the corner caused them to whip around. Passing her a Seiza Blaster, he gave her an encouraging grin.

"Just do what I do."

They had never planned for rebellion. Thievery, yes – piracy, maybe. Blake had been the visionary, with his wild dreams of anarchy as salvation; but he had left them. Half of the present crew had never even met him – and yet here they all were, caught in the slipstream of his ideals. Five squabbling outlaws with the galaxy breathing down their necks, either awaiting liberation, or with designs upon the reward. A bewitching psychopath for a shadow, and inevitability chasing at their heels; it was all leading somewhere. Avon only wished there were some room for doubt about where that was.

Notes: This is based on a tumblr rp verse I have for my Dino Charge OC Tessa, in which not even three weeks after the final battle with Sledge, Captain Marvelous recruits her into the Gokaigers.

"You can't seriously be thinking of leaving the planet with a bunch of space pirates!" the queen demanded. "Becoming a Power Ranger was bad enough, but this?"

Tessa huffed and folded her arms. "What, are you going to call me a self-centered brat like you always do when I do something you don't want?" At her mother's glare, the crimson-clad princess continued, "I'll stick around until after Sophie's birthday party, but keep that up and I'll be gone as soon as it's over!" With that said, she turned and stormed out of the room, her mother staring dumbstruck after her.
